I have been visiting Lithuania for seven years and during this time I have indulged myself by attending a variety of classical music concerts given by the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) as well as attending a couple of operas.
Whilst it would be fair to say that the LSNO are not the Berlin or Vienna Philharmonic (both of whom I have seen) they do play to a very high standard and on almost every occasion I have attended the concerts have been virtually sold out.
What is nice to see also is the number of young people attending and obviously appreciative of the music and cultural heritage of the city of Vilnius and the orchestra.
For each of the concerts I have attended the maximum price for a ticket was 50 litas (approximately £12.50) and the cheapest about 20 litas (£5.00) so it is excellent value for money.
